This morning I found an ikea table on the side of the road. It was a perfect table save for marker drawings all over its surface. We painted the surface with chalk paint and now it's a great outdoor table. I love finding treasures on the side if the road. It's free and helps reduce waste. Woohoo!

India
In 2001, I had the opportunity to travel, northern India. I have been going through old pictures that were taken with film, the old fashion way. I was as much of a shutter bug then, as I am now. Here is a shot taken from the Ganges in Rishikesh with a quote that was in my diary.
"The truth is that there is no journey.
You are right now what you are attempting to be.
You are right now where you are attempting to go.
It is the master who knows this
and thus end the struggle"

Seasonal Wreath
Tucked away in my basement was my seasonal wreath. I found it there the other day and remembered how much joy I had decorating it with the rhythm of the seasons. Now it's dusted, cleaned and displays the beautiful eggs we dyed in celebration of spring. The children are so proud of them. They hang in our kitchen and they really create a festive mood. In May we will decorate it with butterflies.

Revive, Rejuvenate and Rejoice
It's official, spring is here. How wonderful it is to have the longer days of sunlight, to see the snow melt, forming glorious puddles of mud. How wonderful to see the smiles on peoples faces as the darkness of winter lifts from our dreary souls. The best part of being Canadian is the celebration of the seasons. We are so lucky to experience the full expressions of Mother Nature.
